Cookie Policy

Last updated: 5 November 2026

The short version

BookForward uses strictly necessary cookies — the kind that make the site work — plus cookieless, anonymous analytics (Google Analytics). We run no advertising and no cross-site tracking. Analytics is configured without cookies, without ad personalization, and without Google signals, so no cookie consent banner is legally required and nothing tracks you across the web.

Analytics (cookieless)

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages help people — but configured for privacy: it sets no cookies (client_storage: none), anonymizes your IP, disables ad personalization and Google signals, and never sells data. What it sees: page views and events like waitlist signups, with coarse device and referrer info. Nothing follows you to other sites.

Cookies we set

  • bf_session — keeps you logged in. Expires after 30 days. Strictly necessary.
  • bf_oauth_nonce — a short-lived security token used during Google sign-in to prevent forgery. Expires after 10 minutes. Strictly necessary.

Local storage

Your browser may store small preferences locally (for example, that you dismissed the cookie notice, or your push-notification preference). This never leaves your device.

Third parties

If you pay for a membership, Stripe may set its own strictly necessary cookies on its checkout pages — governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. If you use Google sign-in, Google sets cookies on its own pages — governed by Google's policies.
